I am a freelance writer based in Tokyo covering human interest feature stories,
grassroots social movements, arts, culture, food/drink, and travel in Japan and beyond.
I am also an editor, interpreter, and Japanese to English translator
working across a wide variety of fields, from corporate reports to creative advertising to academic essays.
Finally, I teach English-language courses to university students in the metropolis focusing on social issues.
I love meeting new people and traveling...in addition to Japanese, I also speak
French, Portuguese and Spanish (and am hoping to next tackle Italian!).
I am available for writing, editing, translation and interpretation projects.
I look forward to hearing from you...thanks so much for stopping by!
It seems that the more places I see and experience, the bigger I realize the world to be. Maybe that’s enlightenment enough; to know that there is no final resting place of the mind; no smug clarity. Perhaps wisdom…is realizing how small I am, and unwise, and how far I have yet to go.
